Completed Systems
Heliocol solar panels install on any roof surface, with a minimum
of roof penetrations. The most common roof material in new home
construction in Northern California is concrete tile. Many people
express concern about putting solar panels on tile, but Heliocol
panels work beautifully on these roofs. The panels hang from the
top, and we are able to attach straps under the tiles to support
the array. In addition, Heliocol panels, due to the open tube
design, require no straps across the face of the panels. The result
is a system that can be installed without making any holes in
the roof tiles. The finished installation has a clean, low profile
look.

Other common roof surfaces include wood shake and asphalt composite
shingles.
In these applications we do make roof penetrations, but only
two per panel at the top of the array. These are sealed with a
high quality, durable, roof sealant.

Solar panels can also be installed on ground
racks, built specifically for the designed array. This works well
when there is a large area, preferably close to the pool pump,
that can be devoted to a solar system.
